Rosie’s Guitar

Following on from Part 1 – after removing the masking tape  a little work is necessary to remove any of the colour which has bled onto the binding. This is done by scraping with a blade.

After this I flatted the surface of the colour coat with 400-800g sandpaper, then the guitar body is ready for gloss.

The neck is also flatted back and then the water decal logo is applied.

The guitar is then sprayed with lacquer. Although it looks nice and shiny the guitar will benefit from a final sanding with really fine paper (1200-2000g) before being polished to a deep shine. The guitar will then be ready for Rosie to come back for the final assembly.
