One to One Guitar Design Session

Guitar design session with Mark Bailey

A stand alone one to one experience of guitar design, the starting point for a custom guitar commission, or a taster session for other courses /home building

This session is the only one on one session we run – no experience or drawing ability needed – the aim is to create a full scale drawing of your “dream” guitar..ie get the ideas out of your head onto paper and make them work

it is also possible to book this session to explore an existing drawing. The session can also be done over the internet by Live weblink. (ask for more info)

If for any reason you are unable to attend we will offer you another date. With any last minute cancellations we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee – but please read your booking confirmation for more details.

Fee includes refreshments but no meals

Ensuite B&B is available from £36 per night . Double and family rooms available from an extra £15 per night, and Self catering accomodation is available locally, and for groups or families also -ask for information

About the Design Session
If you are interested in how guitars are constructed, what options and choices can be made at various stages and have always wondered why parts and components are where they are… this one to one session is the answer.

Together we discuss all those queries and uncertainties, and by the end of the session we wil have completed a full-scale, customised working drawing to take away

This can be used to build the dream guitar – here, at home or elsewhere

If you decide to explore building it here. this process enables us both to work out what is practical, and possible within budget. Much of guitar making is about making the right choices for the individual player. Our job is to ensure the end result will be a guitar which is exactly as the person wants it to be.

When the session is over there may well be some things to think about and more decisions to make, but working through the process of making a working drawing helps to make everything a lot clearer to both of us, and a drawing with all the key info on it to refer to throughout the build. There is no obligation to commission us to build the guitar.
