Over the Moonshiner

The story:

Way back in October last year award winning Scottish photographer Mark Alexander visited the Bailey workshop to research for an article for Guitar & Bass Magazine – he spent an afternoon here, was genuinely interested in what we do and took some great pictures

The final result was fantastic – It was easy to see why he has won awards for his work

Terry McCarthy bought the magazine and read with interest… he had been thinking about a new guitar… and the article ( and the fact that Bailey Guitars started in Coventry) convinced him to get in touch and buy one of our Moonshiner acoustics

The result?

Because we make everything by hand, we don’t always have everything in stock and the next Moonshiner was a good way from coming off the bench – this enabled Terry to opt for some key upgrades, including binding and a gloss finish, which really brought out the wonderful grain on a simple but classic design.

News Just In!

Last month Terry had a letter published in the magazine (no mean feat in itself)  – a surprise for us all – and the feedback about our guitar and service is just great

Thanks to Terry for buying the guitar, writing in to the mag and to Derry Hincks for sending us this pic of the letter with yours truly in Guitar and Bass Magazine!
