An old friend…
The first 'Companion' was made for a very good friend of mine. He wanted a smaller
guitar and for the neck to join the body at the 12th fret. That set me
designing this guitar and gave me the name for it.
I put all my experience into the best possible guitar I could – the end result
was so good I decided to add it to the range.
The bridge is moved back closer to the centre of the vibrating part of the soundboard
where it has more power to move it. This makes for a louder punchier and fuller
sound, gaining tone and projection.
Until you try a 12th fret guitar you cannot appreciate the difference
it makes.
